Phillip W. Shepherd Sr., AIA (1942–2019), was a distinguished Dallas architect whose visionary designs significantly influenced the city’s architectural landscape. After earning his architecture degree from Texas Tech University in the 1960s, he founded PWS Architects in 1963. Shepherd’s notable contributions include his involvement in the design of The Crescent Hotel and the Mansion on Turtle Creek, both of which have become iconic landmarks in Dallas.
